“Here you go Ricky.”
“Thanks,” replied Warrick, wiping his face with the offered towel.
“So what do you think?”
“About what?”
“The taste,” Gil replied gesturing to his mouth.
“Very funny, Gil,” Warrick replied.
“Hey, it’s not my fault. You wouldn’t listen.”
“Well, how was I supposed to know?”
“Because I told you. She doesn’t like peas. She will only eat the green beans. I tried to tell you that, but you wouldn’t listen.”
“That’s because all children love green peas, Gil.”
“Well, obviously not all children. Otherwise you wouldn’t have a face full of green peas,” Gil laughed.
“Yeah, yeah,” Warrick replied as he walked towards the bathroom still wiping at his face. Reaching into the cabinet for his toothbrush Warrick vowed to listen to his partner the next time. Erica’s chewed up peas were not his idea of a hearty meal.
